2026 Healthcare Academy – Applications Open

Are you a high school student interested in healthcare? Intern for one week at Jackson County’s hospital! Jackson County high school students are invited to apply for Holton Community Hospital’s free summer Healthcare Academy — a one-week immersive job shadow program designed to explore real healthcare careers in Holton, Kansas.

Holton Community Hospital’s Healthcare Academy in Holton, KS gives students hands-on experience inside a working hospital. Participants shadow doctors, nurses, laboratory staff, rehabilitation specialists, and other healthcare professionals while learning what it takes to build a future in medicine.

Students must submit three references and complete a formal interview, providing valuable real-world professional experience.
